Pre-orders - A way to summer/Iswear to you on the mountain, I have no holier oath
110 pages. Vivid, evocative and lovingly observed, these poems bring to a wider international audience one of Greece’s most accessible contemporary poets, Angelos Kouros. This collection from Drunk Muse Press links two volumes – ‘A way to summer’, and ‘I swear to you on the mountain I have no holier oath’ – in Greek and English translation. Ranging across domestic, family and working life, his native geography, from sea to mountains and sky, Angelos Kouros weaves stories out of the mundane and the mythic.
Angelos Kouros (b. 1972) lives in Athens, Greece. He has written seven poetry collections, one children’s book and has been awarded the First Prize for a Comprehensive Poetry Collection twice by the Union of Greece’s Litterateurs: for I swear to you on the mountain, I have no holier oath, and Going deeper, on the bicentennial of the Greek War of Independence.
